Most Splice users can cancel directly through their account settings. If you subscribed through an app store or mobile carrier, you'll need to cancel through that provider instead of your Splice account.

Splice-specific things to know

Splice subscriptions have unique features that might affect your cancellation timing. These tips cover common scenarios.

Your unused credits will expire
Any unused download credits expire when you cancel, so download samples you want before cancelling your subscription.
Downloaded samples stay yours forever
Samples you've already downloaded remain yours to use in projects even after cancelling, including commercial releases.
Collaborations continue working
Active collaborations with other users will continue functioning normally after you cancel your individual subscription.

Important: Read before cancelling

These details can affect your cancellation timing or whether it goes through properly.

1. Check who's billing you

If you signed up through an app store or mobile carrier, you won't see a cancel option in your Splice account - you'll need to cancel through them instead.

2. Use remaining credits first

Your unused download credits expire immediately when you cancel, so download any samples you want before proceeding with cancellation.

3. Access continues until period ends

You'll keep access to Splice until your current billing period ends, even after cancelling. Your subscription won't auto-renew for the next cycle.

Other options to consider

If you're cancelling because of cost or usage patterns, these alternatives might work better than cancelling completely.

Downgrade your Splice plan

Splice offers different tiers with varying credit amounts. A cheaper plan might work if you don't need as many downloads per month.

  • Sounds+ - 10 credits/month

  • Beats - 5 beat downloads/month
